Handle with care
Take care when handling your jewellery to avoid scratching or loosening stones. Each crystal is set intentionally, so avoid pushing or pulling on the settings.
Jewellery Care Guide
Our jewellery is built on a steel core with a 14k gold finish — harder-wearing and more resistant to tarnish. It is designed to be worn every day, from the office to the stands. A little care will keep it looking its best for years.
Caring for your pieces
Take care when handling your jewellery to avoid scratching or loosening stones. Each crystal is set intentionally, so avoid pushing or pulling on the settings.
Keep your jewellery away from perfumes, lotions, sunscreen and cleaning products where you can. Steel is resilient, but repeated contact with chemicals can dull the gold finish and the crystals over time. A good rule: jewellery goes on last and comes off first.
Everyday moments — washing your hands, getting caught in the rain — are no problem. For pools, hot tubs and the sea, we recommend taking your pieces off, as chlorine and salt water are harsh on any gold finish. If your jewellery does get wet, simply dry it with a soft cloth.
Store your pieces in a cool, dry place, ideally in their pouch. This prevents scratches and protects your jewellery and crystals from humidity and sunlight.
Avoid dropping or knocking your jewellery against hard surfaces. Crystals are particularly vulnerable to impact.
Wipe your jewellery gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. For a deeper clean, use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid polishing dips and harsh cleaners — they can damage the finish and the stones.
Materials
Steel & Gold
Our jewellery is crafted from stainless steel and finished in 14k gold, applied at a thickness of 2.5 microns. We chose steel because it is stronger than silver and naturally resistant to tarnish — it makes jewellery for every day.
At 2.5 microns, that gold layer is several times thicker than the thin flash plating used on most fashion jewellery, which is why the colour holds up to daily wear for years rather than fading after a few months.
As with any gold finish, gentle care will preserve its colour and shine for longer.
PVD Gold Finish
Our gold is applied using PVD — Physical Vapour Deposition. Each piece is placed in a vacuum chamber where solid gold alloy is vaporised; the gold then settles onto the steel and bonds with it at a molecular level. It is the same technology used to finish luxury watch cases and surgical instruments.
Because the gold is fused to the steel rather than simply layered on top, a PVD finish is far harder and more resistant to scratching, tarnishing and fading than conventional plating.
Crystals
Our pieces feature Swarovski crystals in club colours. They are secure, but they will last longest if you protect them from impact and prolonged contact with chemicals.
